Mitsubishi Unveils Plans for Ipex 2006

For eight days beginning on 4 April, the world's largest graphic arts show this year - Ipex 2006 - will get underway at the National Exhibition Center (NEC) in Birmingham, England. More than 750 exhibitors are expected to take part, occupying an area of nearly 120,000 square meters.
Attendance at this quadrennial event is expected to exceed 70,000 visitors arriving from around the world.

Mitsubishi's ongoing commitment to support customers in ways that help to differentiate them from their competition and ensure their success in today's tough printing markets will serve as the basis for the "Contributions for your Success" theme on the joint Mitsubishi / MLP UK stand at Ipex. All press exhibits, live presentations and graphics will highlight this theme and its applications to different market segments.

For the first time in the UK, Mitsubishi will be showcasing the DIAMOND 3000TP Tandem Perfector configured in a five over five printing unit arrangement. For many UK and Irish printers, Ipex will provide them their first opportunity for an up close look at the unparalleled printing quality and sheet handling performance of Mitsubishi's incredibly productive Tandem Perfector.

Joining the Tandem Perfector on the stand will be the DIAMOND 1000LS sheet-fed offset press.
This high-speed and widely popular press provides efficient performance and outstanding printing accuracy on a wide range of multicolor products where quality and quick turnarounds are critical. The DIAMOND 1000LS at Ipex, a five-color straight printing press with tower coater, is configured with solid cylinders for high-quality general commercial printing.

The custom built Mitsubishi stand will also feature an extensive JDF corner with Tharstern Management Information System, Mitsubishi PPC Server, and several pre-press and post-press equipment work stations. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe real-time capture of production data by the MIS and job status information provided via Mitsubishi's digital networking system MAX-net.

To showcase the Tandem Perfector's ability to master high-quality commercial applications, the press will print a special 16-page Ipex issue of the Mitsubishi DIAMONDS publication. The 1000LS will print the cover pages of this publication in a job that involves heavy ink coverage and vivid colors.

You will find the Mitsubishi stand right inside the main entrance to Hall 4, and the 750 square meters of space booked for this event is identified as Stand No. 4-C10.
