The Industrial Machinery Design Award was created in 1970 by the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun to recognize new products that significantly improve performance standards and readily enhance their respective industry.
Over the years, products that have won this prestigious award have gone on to become the design standard followed by others within each industry.

  The Mitsubishi Commercial Web Offset Press – MAX Series – was one of 15 prize-winning entries selected from among 40 entries from 36 different companies at this year’s 33^rd Annual Award Ceremony held in Tokyo, Japan on July 29. This year’s award is also unique for the printing industry because it marks the first time that a web press has been selected.
