Mitsubishi DIAMOND 3000TP
Wins Award from CARACTERE

In the June 2003 issue of France’s prestigious CARACTERE magazine, the Mitsubishi DIAMOND 3000TP Tandem Perfector was recognized as one of the "Top Three New Products" in the printing press award category. CARACTERE is considered to be the most authoritative publication for the French graphic arts industry.

The DIAMOND 3000TP was selected for the award because of the innovative concept the press utilizes in achieving reasonable, reliable and accurate printed products. The translink unit, used to transfer the sheet from reverse-side printing units to front-side printing units, features a total of seven new-patented technologies, including the triple-diameter vacuum hold-down cylinder.

The one-pass Tandem Perfector is the world’s first sheet-fed press to fully print one side of the sheet before printing the other side and, with use of the translink unit, does so without ever having to turn the sheet. This unique press also offers a wider stock range capability, handling sheet thickness of 0.04mm to 0.6mm on standard press models and 0.2mm to 0.8mm on carton press models, and realizes consistently high printing quality.

Orders have already been received for twelve Tandem Perfectors presses in Japan and four presses in overseas markets, and customers with presses currently in operation continue to praise the exceptional productivity and printing quality levels of this unique press. The CARACTERE Award is expected to contribute to even greater press exposure and lead to expanded press sales in the near future, not only within European markets, but other overseas markets as well.
